Hornád River
The Hornád River is 193 kilometres long in Slovakia, and the total length of its watercourse is 286 kilometres. The most important sections from the point of view of tourism include the Hornád Gorge in the Slovak Paradise National Park and the meanders in the Spiš region southeast of Spišská Nová Ves.

Kayaking Course
The Hornád is a river in the Slovak Paradise, which offers many opportunities for kayaking or canoeing. If you are a beginner, you can take part in a course on the basics of canoeing and kayaking on the Hornád, offered by Splavujeme.sk. During two hours you will practice basic strokes on the water, the basics of rescue, we will tell you what each part of the equipment is used for, what to avoid on the river, and so on. The course is led by experienced and certified instructors. The canoeing or kayaking course includes the rental of a canoe or kayak, vest, helmet, splash pad, paddle, and instructor.
he course is recommended for anyone who wants to learn something, whether they are a complete beginner or a more advanced paddler. The course is for those interested in kayaking and canoeing. You should register for the course by e-mail or phone at least 3 days in advance. Registration is valid upon receipt of email confirmation of registration and payment.
